THE BLIND MONSTER GAME For children age 4 to 10 © Bilal Saddik 2020 This game promotes teamwork and collaboration.

Children learn objective decision making and improve physical reaction skills.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS:

2 to 10 players, depending on the space available.

SPACE: At least 3m length by 3m Width.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED 1 Blindfold - Wrap a t-shirt or any other soft material on your face to cover your eyes. - Alternatively you can use a Sleeping mask, a towel or bandage. (Get creative!)

KEYWORDS: Tag = A gentle touch on an appropriate area of the body – this should be agreed with all player before the game starts Blindfold = To cover your eyes

HOW TO PLAY: Choose one player to be the Blind Monster (Pro Tip: It’s better if an adult starts as the ‘Blind Monster’) Once a player is chosen to be the Blind Monster they should wear a blindfold and the other players must spread out in the available area. The aim of the game is for players to work together to quietly get closer and tag the Blind Monster

without the monster tagging you first.

Any player who gets tagged by the Blind Monster switches places and becomes the Blind Monster and the game starts again.

HOW TO WIN: For the players to win as a team they must each tag the Blind Monster once without being tagged themselves.
